Picture a Scientist
The documentary film PICTURE A SCIENTIST deals with discrimination, sexism and racism in the scientific system.
Several examples will be shown of how women who research and teach in the natural sciences are still ignored in many ways and have to fight for respect and recognition throughout their lives. The film will be shown from 6-8pm. This will be followed by a short discussion and networking session.
An event organised by the Department of Research and Transfer in cooperation with the Office for Equality, Diversity and Family Affairs and the Leipzig Science Network.
This event takes place as part of the German Diversity Day on 28 May. The film will be shown in English with German subtitles. The discussion and networking session will be held in German.
The event is intended to provide a safe space for female scientists to exchange and is aimed at all people who see themselves as women.
